I was lucky enough to be invited to Time in Motion, an event celebrating Hermes timepieces and the unveiling of their new watches. It started with a dance choreographed specifically for Hermes by French choreographer David Drouard, followed by cocktails amongst a fantastic display of their new Dressage Chrono timepieces, and ended with a wine-paired dinner. Amongst the attendees were Kelly Rutherford and Shala Monroque. I attended the event with my design partner Reid Bartelme, making it an exceptionally fun evening.
My friend and lovely design partner, Reid Bartelme, and I are finally making our creative partnership official!

Black and Brown.
There have been many studies showing that the color red causes strong emotions and reactions physically and mentally. Red lips definitely make me feel a little more powerful and polished, even in slouchy jeans and a sweater. Don’t you agree??
If only I can figure out how to keep it on my lips and looking fresh for more than 5 seconds…tips are welcomed.
During one of my lovely, solitary lunches at Pret-a-manger near New York’s Fashion District, this lady came to sit next to me and told me she’s seen me at this Pret several times. She said she always likes my style and started to tell me about how she LOVES to sit and people watch in the area.
She then talked about how she wasted so much money as a young woman on designer clothing and how she realizes now that she could’ve saved it for a mortgage. She rambled on some more about clothes…about how she doesn’t know how to style a black leather coat with spikes that she owns. Then, she excused herself to use the restroom. Her name is Ruth and I had to take a picture and share. She’s got sort of a Betsey Johnson thing going on no?
